Lit for Christ!

“Encourage student believers to ignite in spiritual growth.”

1 Peter 2:2

Who We Are

Students on fire to serve God as we serve others.

Our Why

Our students’ desire is to transform the community by spreading the love of Christ, through Faith, by teaching students what it means to follow Christ and fulfill the great commission.

Our Vision

To encourage the students to use their individual talents and spiritual gifts to serve the community by the strong foundation of faith, by providing relevant programs, activities, and events that will enable them to express and share their faith through their own words, actions, and deeds.

Our Mission

To reach other students to seek the Light by developing Christlike characters and Kingdom-focused students, to ignite other students within the community through biblical teaching.

We Will…

  • Be a transforming presence in the community to all students, to become a follower of Christ & ignite in their spiritual growth
  • Cultivate Spiritual Discipline
  • Create a culture of Prayer
  • Enhance the Kingdom of God by utilizing our Spiritual Gifts, our Hearts, and Abilities, Personalities, and Experiences to serve God in the church, community and beyond
  • Be a ministry blazing to serve God as we serve others

IGNITE Core Values

Six values. One word.

The six student ministry values spell the word IGNITE.

I

Increase faith through prayer

We believe that prayer is imperative to a believer’s walk with Christ. As students navigate through life, many face struggles, temptations, and hardships in life; prayer is a way that connects them to God that increases their faith.

G

Guiding others to the light

We believe that fulfilling the great commission of Christ is a vital part of our student ministry. Our desire is to engage with other students, guiding them to our Lord and Savior who will bring light that brings life.

N

Navigating through God’s Word with understanding & application

We believe that the Bible is the guide to living a Christlike lifestyle. As students navigate through the Bible we know it’s important that they not only understand the Word, but apply the Word in our everyday life.

I

Including all in an environment that’s centered around God’s family

We believe it’s important to build an atmosphere that’s encouraged by the Word of God, through activities, events, outings, and recharge that enables us to express and share our struggles, our faith with others as we fellowship with one another.

T

Trusting in God’s timing and plan

We believe that discipleship is important to our growth in God through our pathway group “Litup” to make disciples, and leadership group called “Ignite.” Encouraging our students to mature in their walk in Christ, as well as seeking their purpose and call on their life, that leads to serving God in ministry, missions, and beyond.

E

Encouraging hearts of service

We believe that our students should have a growing heart for those who are lost without hope. We have a desire to go into our communities, our city and across our country and even overseas. We desire our student ministry to be on fire for missions, spreading the love of Christ all over the globe.

Take a moment and answer the questions below. Be honest with yourself. Sometimes your answers will guide you right where you need to be.

  1. When was the last time God revealed Himself to you?
  2. Who is God to you?
  3. What is missing in your life?
  4. Do you belong to a church family?
  5. What is the next step that you need to take in your relationship with God?
